Because why should anyone care about who you fucked in the past?
You are on a Hinge date. The place? Very aesthetic. The food? Delicious. Your company? You are ready to take them home for dessert, if you know what I mean (wink face).
When they suddenly ask, ‘So what’s your body count’?’ Your hand freezes in the air with your last fry and you don’t know whether to say the truth or change the number. You will think that in 2023 we will feel less stressed about sharing our body count with someone. Like for God’s sake, we are acting like we are talking about the amount of people we killed instead of the amount of people we slept with.
And why is that?
Because of the whole stupid social stigma that someone is more worth it and ‘pure’ if they have a low body count. Someone’s body count shouldn’t matter and devalue their worth. In fact, there are plenty of people who connect with other people in an instant, but when it comes to being intimate, they might not connect in the bedroom.
Some people might find the love of their life at a young age, and some people might have to try million times until they find it, and that’s its completely normal. Not everyone is the same or have the same beliefs, so it’s important to remember that your body count does not define you or your worth or expertise.
Just make sure to protect yourself, you give and ask for consent first, and just have fun. If someone judges you for your body count, then you might want to consider why would you like them in your life.
Watch for the red flags loves, even when they are 6 foot or look like the potential love of your life. Whether you are a virgin or have slept with over 20 people, You are worth it.
